Students will have opportunities to apply the elements of design, principles of design, and the appropriate use of color within projects. Understanding of exterior architecture, quiet area design, living area design, and a design presentation to a client will be the focus projects. A history of furniture design will be researched in student groups. Students will learn to use Chief Architect, a computer 3-D enhancement program for architecture and design. Evaluating housing in relation to available options and preparing students for career opportunities in the residential and non-residential interior design fields are also included.
